Hello, my name is Urniquee Taliya Vega. I may not have that much experience, but I have a drive and a love for animals! I'm currently a vet tech student at MJC, and I'm expected to graduate next year. During my time at MJC, I became involved in the vet tech club and the Stanislaus County Animal Services Agency! I have been doing kennel work since last December. That may not seem like a long time, but it's a very fast paced environment. It has been a joy and a boost of serotonin! Here are some of the duties I'm familiar with. Cleaning kennels, replacing water, walking the dogs, helping out with the cats, doing laundry, helping customers, helping get vaccines ready, administering vaccines, animal handling, being comfortable handling animals of all different sizes and personalities, and loving each animal like they're my own! Which to me is very important! I also help any new volunteers with questions or explaining tasks! These are a few things I've learned so far. With opportunity comes great responsibility, and I know I have exactly what you're looking for! Like I've said before, animals are the most important thing, and with this job, it will open so many doors to complete my goal of becoming a registered veterinary technician at the Stanislaus Animal Services Agency.
