  • Established “The Valentin Peytchinov Vocal Studio” (aka VP Vocal Studio) in New York City. VP Studio takes part and participates every year in the International Festival "Sofia Music Weeks."
  • Contributed vocal expertise to “pierStudios” in NYC.
  • Founder and the Artistic Director of Vocal Productions NYC, Vocal Productions Bulgaria, and Vocal Productions Asia where he nurtures young talent by regularly giving Master Classes and Master Courses for all vocal genres in numerous countries every year.
  • Invited to judge international vocal competitions including the Giulio Gari Competition, and he was invited to be the MC of the Winner’s Concert of the Giulio Gari Competition 2025.
  • Former Chairman of the Arts and Culture Festival of Sophia in 2010, World Women’s Conference, and part of the International Headquarters’ Council.
  • Member of the Advisory Committee of the Olga Forrai Foundation that supports dramatic voices and conductors.

  • U.S. debut with the Santa Fe Symphony in Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
  • New York debut at Alice Tully Hall in Shostakovich's 14th Symphony in 1988.
  • Was personally introduced by the world-renowned composer Gian Carlo Menotti at the 1988 Spoleto Festival.
  • Recipient of awards from both the Sullivan Foundation and Olga Forrai Foundation 1989 & 1990.
  • Winner in the America Opera Auditions in 1990, and in 1993 was the bass finalist in the Luciano Pavarotti Competition.
  • Featured in two all-Shostakovich concerts in Seattle 1990 as part of an International Music Festival (with the New European Strings) broadcast on National Public Radio.
  • Named a Metropolitan Opera Principal Artist in 2000.
  • Bass soloist for the Messa Di Requiem at Carnegie Hall for the 100th Anniversary of Verdi’s death in 2001.
  • Performed in a critically acclaimed world premiere of Shostakovich's two-piano version of the Thirteenth Symphony, Babi Yar, in New York City and subsequently, internationally in 2006. This performance featured pianists Misha and Cipa Dichter, and poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko reading his famous text. Reviewed by the New York Times as "an illuminating performance," the concert commemorated the 65th anniversary of the Babi Yar Massacre.
  • Performed the 13th and 14th Symphony in numerous festivals in various countries (2013 Tucson World Symposium of Jewish Themes In Arts, Soviet Music Week 2018).
  • Engaged in multiple seasons on the stages of New York City Opera including touring with the company.
  • Regular performer at Carnegie Hall with notable performances of Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky with Timothy Dalton as the narrator, The Maid of Orleans by Tchaikovsky opposite Dolora Zajick, a solo Wagner concert including soprano Christine Goerke, and a solo concert including Aprile Miller and Hei-Kyung Hong.
  • Received critical acclaim for performances in the roles of Attila, Banquo, Basilio, Enrico VIII, Fiesco, The Flying Dutchman, Mephistopheles, Mustafa, Pagano, Phillipe II, Procida, Ramfis, King Rene, Roger, and Zaccaria, etc.
  • Major North American appearances include performances with The Columbus Symphony, The Juilliard Opera Orchestra, Nashville Opera, New European Strings, New York Grand Opera, Pasadena Symphony, Montreal Opera, The Santa Fe Symphony, and the Orchestra of St. Luke's.
