We owned our own trucks and I did the communicating to dispatch the trucks to different jobs, dealt with drivers, dealt with repairs, had to work on the truck and trailers, drove long hours myself, did payroll, everything. Figured out routes, covered drivers that took off of work, when I started working for another company, I did everything I could to help keep everything moving smooth. It didn't take long to make my way up to the top, I was dispatching trucks, loading trucks, doing the ledger, gathering tickets, dealing with the drivers, the crews, foresters, mills, wood dealers and brokers.
