I started mu nursing career in the MICU at UMC. This was great place to start a nursing career. I learned a lot about all different body systems and how they all work. I was certified in how to rum a balloon pump, CRRT machine, and was able to manage multiple drips. I started as a bedside nurse and transitioned into a Charge Nurse.
I then went to work for Grace Medical Center that has now become Grace Surgical Hospital. I started as a bedside nurse and transitioned into a charge nurse, When I moved to the new facility I became the night House Supervisor in charge of the med surg floor as well as the ER. I take care of mostly ortho, neuro, and gyn patients. I would also fill in at the ER as needed.
During my 2 year job at Kindred hospital in Dallas TX i served as the night charge nurse. This is a LTAC facility, I took care of patients that required long term antibiotics and those that needed weaned from vents.
