  • Install and Align Diesel Engines, Gas Turbines and Reduction gearboxes to required makers and Navy specifications using Lasers and Dial indicators (Rim and Face)
  • Bluefit chocks and sims
  • Drill mounting bolts holes using magnetic base drills and hogging bits
  • Built chockfast dams and prepare chockfast to detailed instructions by the supplier
  • Gather surveying documents and calibration certificates for torque wrenches and torque multiplier before survey

  • Lead a team of 7 people and train 2 Technical Assistants to perform Engine install and alignment

  • Check and evaluate engine room log book daily, evaluate temperatures, pressures, fluctuating fuel and oil consumptions, abnormal noises, troubleshoot and repair to prevent downtime or costly damages
  • Order Fuel, Oil, Spare Parts, needed for the entire charter or to facilitate the preventative maintenance schedule
  • Train Engineers, oilers, apprentices and crews on daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to allow for smooth charter turnaround
  • Responsible for all emergency and fire fighting equipment servicing and calibrations
  • Incharge for the annual drydock of the vessel
  • Prepare the maintenance work pack and coordinate with the Owner and the Captain on the Budget, work schedules and materials needed
  • Arrange for sub-contractors base on the costs and quality of work and deadline
  • Schedule marine surveyors to check during work progress to be sure that the work is done to the required standard
  • Check that all systems are completed and the vessel is water tight before released from the drydock
  • Assist surveyors and captain during sea trial
  • Test all systems, emergency systems, alarms and machineries achieve the required standard
  • Run Propulsion Engines to a certain required hours and RPM and monitor temperatures and pressures to achieve the required speed.
