- Work involves investigating alleged neglect and abuse, substantiation of the alleged neglect or abuse according to federal and state guidelines, providing case management and preventive services for clients.
- Job duties consist of responding quickly in crisis or dangerous situations that involve a child reported in abused, neglected or in a situation of dependency.
- Child and Family Team meeting, developing case plans, identify supportive services and planning with the child's family toward the solution and prevention of problems causing neglect and abuse.
- Duties consist of monitoring the case, completing home visits, making calls to providers, linking with community resources, staffing cases, while making sure client is able to remain safely at home.
- Consist of court preparation or petitions, providing effective testimony in court hearings, and following-up with case management and preventive services for clients; obtaining medical records, psychiatric treatment; and for making recommendations.
- Seeks supervisory consultation in providing guidance with challenging cases and decision making. Collaborated effectively with clinical providers, physicians, law enforcement, teachers, lawyers etc.
