Summary
I have been practicing pediatrics for 25 yrs. I joined Nemours pediatrics right out of my residency. I worked with them for 5 yrs. and covered the hospital also. I gained vast experience treating outpatients and inpatients. (Taking care of healthy and sick newborns at Nanticoke hospital and Beebe hospital Lewes). In Dec 2001 I joined Rainbow pediatrics, as a partner, as I needed flexibility in work schedule due to my children. Rainbow pediatrics was originally started by Dr Pankaj Sanwal. I was responsible for switching the whole practice from paper charts to EMR in February 2007. Currently I work as a clinician seeing patients plus also as an Practice manager, taking care of the EMR / billing / office management and human resources. I am the vaccine coordinator for Rainbow Pediatrics and oversee the vaccine management. I worked with Nemours and was responsible for the successful implementation of Nemours Telemedicine services at our office so our patients don’t have to travel far to see pediatric subspecialist I thoroughly enjoy seeing children. I have two kids. My daughter graduated college and my son is currently a Junior at College. Besides taking care of my kids, in my free time I enjoy walking my dogs, playing tennis, and travelling.
