As a graduate from Paul Mitchell school of Cosmology in Carrollton Tx, after 750 hours of course study and hands on training, I received an esthetics associate degree/certificate. This allowed me to be tested in knowledge and hands on with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations to earn an Esthetic License. This license needs to be renewed every 2 years to remain relevant and active in practice.
Retail Experience, Marketing, Enhanced Sales with drive to succeed showed me my true potential and rose to the top.
Lady Foot Locker (LFL) - Sales Associate. I was recruited to be a Store Manager by our District Manager to run a failing downtown LFL in WDC after 3 months of employment. I By-passed their 18-month training program, did their training program on the job and took the store to #1 in the nation for accessory sales and sales within my first year.
The store was losing $1000's annually. I turned the store around in 4 months by doubling and sometimes quadrupling daily sales. This explosive growth spurred visits from our New York headquarters.
I was first visited by our VP of Sales, then the VP of LFL and eventually the President of LFL. These accomplishments won me our annual recognition trip winning 1 of 20 slots in our nationwide competition.
In addition, I ran the store very efficiently by reducing the staff to one Assistant Sales Manager and one Part-time Sales Associate. This decreased our payroll overhead by 30% to 50%.
I decreased the theft issue by 90% from both internally and customers.
This experience educated me on how to run and manage a retail space, which later helped me to run my own business. Ordering inventory, moving and rotating inventory, "First in, first out" policy. Marking up or marking down inventory. Moving inventory quickly. I became a "test store" for new accessory items. I was later asked to move to New York and be a part of their Executive Team.
Taught me the courage to cold call, be creative, explain benefits, to fiscally conservative businesses.
Pitney Bowes (PB), Sales Associate. PB is a global technology company that provides services for mailing, shipping, and logistics: I Won meter leader 1st year in WDC office. This means I placed more new postage meters in businesses than anyone else in the office.
Learned technology, and how to be unique and step out of a box and up sell to big market potential while growing the international market for a domestic telecom company.
LCI Telecommunications – WDC. Sales Associate. I won multiple Sales Awards and trips by helping to expand our international traffic. My target was on Embassies: Sweden, Chile, Australia, England, New Zealand to name a few. LCI was later purchased by Qwest Communications.
Promoted from within by Co-worker that saw my potential to create and demand success.
ANS Communication. I was recruited by LCI's National Account Manager to help grow their network and presence nationwide.
Opportunity to move close to family again and expand my management skills.
Cable and Wireless. I had a job offer to move to Texas (family lives here) to manage the state of the Texas Reseller Program out of Dallas, Tx. I managed resellers, reselling Cable and Wireless under their business name throughout Texas.
Being recognized in the field by recruiters as an asset to companies.
Qwest Communications. I was Recruited to Qwest communications as a National Account Rep.
Qwest Communications. I was Recruited within Qwest to manage a new division for local connectivity for Dallas. I Managed Engineers, their massive excel spread sheets, spoke with other Qwest offices sales reps nationwide who needed their customers to connect their offices to our local network.
Stepping out and trying something new again.
KLIF Radio. I was recruited by the General Manager to sell radio advertising, radio shows and remote radio shows on customer property.
I look forward to taking on new challenges and using my imagination to explore, expand and grow business opportunities.
