JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for club merchandising, ensuring merchandise is available for sale in proper quantities throughout the store. Delivering a positive service experience to members, overseeing and directing the work of the merchandise department team members, and acting as a key holder for the store and as the manager on duty.

As the overnight manager I am also responsible to function as the manager on duty and to manage the entire club, including all club departments to ensure excellent member service and to resolve any day to day issues.

MAJOR TASKS:

• Collaborates with other merchandise managers to develop effective and productive merchandising teams through selection, training, managing, motivating ,coaching and evaluating proformance.
• Deliver a positive service experience to members
• Communicate with other managers regarding staffing levels and team performance.
• Follow company directives, ensure company policies and safety procedures throughout the entire club.

• Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
• Oversee activities directly related to making products or providing services.
• Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
• Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
• Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.
• Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
• Plan and direct activities such as sales promotions, coordinating with other department heads as required.
• Monitor businesses and agencies to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits.
• Perform sales floor work, such as greeting or assisting customers, stocking shelves, or taking inventory.
• Develop or implement product-marketing strategies, including advertising campaigns or sales promotions.
• Plan store layouts or design displays.
