Summary
A Registered Nurse since 1985, an Adult Nurse Practitioner since 2008, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice since 2021. Over the 38 years of practicing nursing, I have acquired much experience focusing on diagnosing and treating human responses, most recently incorporating the DNP essentials and servant leadership into clinical practice while focusing on cost-effective, high-quality, evidence-based, patient-focused cancer care.
Instrumental in educating staff and nurse practitioner students regarding the complex care of hematology/oncology patients. I have presented at advanced practice conferences, nursing grand rounds, and orientations for registered nurses on multiple oncology topics.
Since the Spring of 2022, as an adjunct professor in the nursing programs at Farmingdale College and Nassau Community College, I have designed and delivered instruction to nursing students throughout both programs and remain equipped to adopt new material to help students comprehend the subject matter while working closely with faculty to meet all goals set by the nursing programs.
