Bay Area Houston Alumnae Chapter

  • 2017-2026, Scholarship Committee
  • 2018-2021, Audit Committee
  • 2018-2021, Courtesy Committee
  • 2024-2026, Chair, Scholarship Committee

During my tenure as Chair of the Scholarship Committee, we established a new standard of excellence by achieving record-setting results in every major area of scholarship fundraising and impact. Through strategic relationship building, effective financial stewardship, and an unwavering commitment to student success, the committee secured the largest corporate sponsorships in the history of the program, significantly expanding our ability to invest in deserving students.

These efforts resulted in the highest number of scholarship awards ever presented and the greatest total dollar amount distributed to students during a single tenure. More importantly, our work strengthened the scholarship program's sustainability, enhanced its visibility within the community, and reaffirmed our organization's commitment to educational excellence.

These accomplishments were made possible through collaborative leadership, dedicated committee members, generous sponsors, and a shared vision of creating meaningful opportunities for our scholars. I am proud of the lasting foundation we built and the measurable impact our committee made in advancing scholarship and empowering future leaders. In 2026, BAHA awarded 15 scholarships for nearly $40,000.

Delta Gamma Alumnae Activities

  • 2019 - Member, 70th Anniversary Planning Committee
  • 2019 - Establisher, 1949 Project Scholarship

The 1949 Legacy – Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service Scholarship represents a meaningful investment in the future of the Delta Gamma Chapter and its collegiate members. Established through the generosity and vision of Delta Gamma alumnae, the scholarship reflects the chapter's enduring commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, sisterhood, and service.

Funded entirely by alumni donors, the scholarship has raised nearly $10,000 to provide financial support to current members of the Delta Gamma Chapter at Texas Southern University. This investment not only helps ease the financial burden of higher education but also reinforces the belief that every collegiate soror should have the opportunity to thrive academically while actively participating in the life and mission of the chapter.

The 1949 Legacy Scholarship serves as a powerful bridge between generations of Delta Gamma women. It is a lasting expression of alumnae giving back to those who follow, ensuring that the chapter's legacy of scholarship, service, and sisterhood continues to flourish. By investing in today's collegians, alumni are helping to cultivate tomorrow's leaders and preserve the strength and excellence of the Delta Gamma Chapter for generations to come.
