  • My responsibilities as an employee were to answer incoming calls from members.
  • Go over claims and benefits with customer's and explain what was covered by insurance in detail.
  • I would answer any questions and concerns members had about their coverage like what amount member was responsible for in co-pays and what was co-insurance and how deductibles worked, and if they had any premiums.
  • I also had to explain what type of medical benefits they had and give estimates of what claims may look like.
  • I learned many skills for example, data entry and how to file and process claims for members.
  • I learned medical terminology and how to properly speak to facilities and providers.
