After successful implementation of this project, the systems will have the ability to quote and rate via an automated process so that we can preserve our current book of SG business along with gain market share from our competitor’s book of business. The Billing suite of applications will be enhanced to support AFA billing, payment reconciliation and provide feed to downstream applications for new and renewal business (renewals to be set-up new structures).

Project Overview – The Aetna information classification policy is designed to reduce the risk of a breach of information for the consumer by reducing the number of times SSN is processed down to what is absolutely business essential. SSN will not be used within Aetna Individual Business (IVL) Applications IQS, IPS, IUS, and IPOS & IPR which deals with various business functions like quoting, rating, underwriting, products and rates, premium override, automated enrollment feed to enrollment system. Where SSNs are used as a key identifier, it will be protected using the proposed Voltage API Encryption technology to prevent the exposure of plain text SSN data.
