Wendi Tilmon

I worked as an Accountant until I had my first child. I then became a stay at home mom but continued a small accounting business from home. I prepared income taxes for individuals and was a bookkeeper for my church. I also helped start up a counseling center within the church and helped with the financials for the counseling center. I eventually decided to give teaching a try, of which I am in my 21st year of. I have been teaching middle school math for 19 of those 21 years, and have had much success in those years. I still do some accounting for our church on an as needed basis. I have come to the point in my career where I would very much like to get back to a desk job and not as much in the day to day grind with teaching and students. I would be great for this position as I have the qualifications from my background in accounting. My math teaching experience proves my attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills, and the communication needed to work well others within and outside of the school system.
