Summary

Experience as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse with 30 years of experience preparing and administering medications, providing bedside care and monitoring patient conditions. Working with pediatric patient populations has been the focus of my experience, with a total of 30 years of working in acute care, inpatient and urgent care settings. Included in my past and current experience is patients in an adult primary care setting. Past experience acting as an interim nurse manager as well as interim nurse educator in a 24-bed pediatric medical-surgical unit. Current certifications include CPN and P.E.A.R.S. Other experience includes participating in and leading both unit and hospital-wide committees such as Magnet, Education, Unit Councils, EMR Super-User and opportunities to represent Children's Mercy Hospital at conferences.   • Cared for pediatric patient population over several years in a variety of inpatients Medical-Surgical units, including; Surgical Post-op, Pulmonology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Dermatology.
