Work History

LPN

Community Medical Center
12.2023 - Current

Currently I work 38 hours a week in an Urgent Care Setting similar to 20 years ago. I love this job, but the I still need additional income.

LPN

Providence Health & Services
04.2023 - 11.2023

I was employed at the Cancer Center Clinic. I was mainly performing CMA duties such as rooming patients and taking their vital signs. There was a lot of telephone duties here which I am not a big fan of.

LPN

The Springs
09.2022 - 03.2023

This was a memory-care unit in an assisted living facility. I worked the evening shift providing medications and assistance with activities of daily living as well as oversight of nursing assistants.

LPN

DCI
11.2020 - 07.2022

I was employed at this dialysis clinic as an LPN. My role here was the same as in the Fresenius job description except this was a not-for-profit clinic.

LPN

Fresenius Medical Care
05.2005 - 11.2020
  • Assess hemodialysis patients pre-treatment, connect patient to dialysis machine via arterial-venous fistula or central venous catheter, monitor patient's vital signs and condition during treatment, prepare the unit each morning by assuring reverse osmosis units are functioning within normal limit and prepare sodium bicarbonate solution for distribution to the dialysis machines, trouble shoot any problems that arise with equipment or patients and report to RN in charge accordingly.

LPN

AAA
03.2009 - 11.2010
  • Care for a gentleman with Muscular Distrophy in his home part-time
  • Duties included morning range of motion exercises, tracheotomy care and suctioning as needed, monitoring of ventilator, bathing patient, meal preparation, toileting, transferring and transporting him on outings
  • I worked here 2 days a week while also working at dialysis, but it got to be too much after a while and I resigned
  • This company is no longer in service, and the patient has since passed away, but I can provide the number of one of the RN's who worked the shift after me if needed.

LPN

The Living Center
02.2005 - 05.2005
  • I worked at this long-term-care facility briefly due to my being hired at the dialysis clinic
  • While here I worked the night shift in charge of 57 residents and 3-4 CNA's
  • Monitored and assessed residents conditions, dispensed medications as ordered, performed prescribed treatments i.e
  • Dressing changes, nebulizer treatments, urinary catheterization, care of feeding tube sites, colostomy care etc
  • I also assisted my nursing assistants with resident activities of daily living and tried to promote a healthy team spirit among these co-workers.

LPN

Community Medical Center
07.1999 - 02.2005
  • I was hired at this hospital originally to work in the TCU unit on the night shift, however, the unit closed after three months
  • I was then transferred to the inpatient Rehabilitation Unit where I stayed for two years and then I transferred to the House Float department since I was already familiar with several other units due to being floated out of Rehab a lot
  • I worked on the Orthopaedic Unit, OB unit, Nursery, Pediatric Unit and Med-Surg
  • After two more years of night shift, I transferred to a day shift on the Urgent Care Unit and remained there for another year and a half.

LPN

Hunter's Glen (Brookdale)
09.1998 - 05.1999
  • This was a brand new Assisted Living Facility that I was employed by part-time before I worked in the hospital
  • It had about 50 residents at the time I worked there
  • I was passing medications, performing treatments, observing and assessing residents for change in condition, keeping in communication with the resident assistants as these were more independent clientele, assuring that residents were able to secure transportation to appointments as needed, complying with documentation requirements, re-ordering medications and supplies, keeping RN supervisor and physicians updated on resident conditions.

LPN

The Living Center
07.1994 - 10.1997
  • This was my second time being employed by this company (before I went to nursing school I worked here as a CNA for 3 years) Duties are the same as listed above except I worked all shifts.
