I am a hard worker, i learn fast and im great with my hands. I like to call myself a jack of all and master of none, a do it yourselfer if you will. If something of mine breaks or has an issue I like to take it upon myself to diagnose and fix it. im not real computer literate but I am willing to learn and willing to do what it takes to finish a job. I have a great attention to detail and sometimes let my OCD take over. I may not have many years under my belt as an employed mechanic, but from a very young age I have had a knack for motors not just small engines. If it had a combustion engine I would be willing to bet I have worked on one weather it was mine a friends or a family members. Some time in high school in autobody class I got introduced to welding. Our shop teacher set up a welding booth and let his students weld a little I was hooked it was amazing to me that you could glue two pieces of metal together with heat and electricity. I was supposed to go to tulsa welding school but couldn't afford it and didn't want to put myself in debt so I started looking for weld shops around my area. I found a great shop local to me that did a bunch of aerospace and structural welding. I put in multiple applications until one day I got a call from them PFC precision companies. I started as a helper learning from their best welder. As his helper he let me weld on things I probably shouldn't have but I don't think he would have if he didn't trust that I was good enough to get it done right. I worked there 3 years total and in that time got certified in multiple types of welding and by the time I left there I was a welder fabricator. After leaving there I thought I would see about being an iron worker in my time as an iron worker i got put on a demo job so there was alot of torch cutting, wearing fall protection and heights I was not used to but I got it done. As they say mind over matter and that's what it took. I didn't much like the atmosphere around the other iron workers and apprentice so I left the union and tried to pursue surveying, I got a job with a local small surveying company land and sea surveying and fell in love with land surveying not only because of the work but also one of my hobbies (artifact hunting) and I love history. surveying goes back a very long time. during my time as a surveyor/rod man I had the opportunity to do topo at sebastian inlet, falmouth springs troy springs and lafeyette springs. I also did some utility locating working for them as well after leaving surveying I figured id give it a shot doing something I have always been passionate about and that was mechanic work. being that I didn't have any certifications for mechanic work I couldn't get a job as a car mechanic or motorcycle mechanic so I looked into small engine mechanics and found a job at rev cut mower. I enjoyed my time working there and diagnosing things wrong with mowers and the two stroke side of things. they quickly realized I did indeed know a thing or two working on engines so they gave me a pay raise after my first week. I am looking forward to my next great opportunity that presents itself, and I'm looking forward to learning much more and broadening my horizons.
I like history and got into hunting for old glass bottles and that led to finding fossils there are soo many sharks teeth and other fossils here in florida. After meeting some people with similar hobbies I was told about native american artifacts and that one stuck pretty good I have a nice little collection I am very proud of. I have always been into fishing my dad took me quite often when I was younger and still go when I get a good opportunity. I recently got introduced to hog hunting and immediately was hooked. I try to spend as much time as I can outdoors so if its outside I can bet I will enjoy it.
