  • Crash data analysis. Using ODOT’s Transportation Information Mapping System (TIMS), pulled motor vehicle crash data from more than 100 incidents throughout ODOT’s 8th district (Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Greene, Hamilton, Preble, and Warren counties) to help determine specific crash location trends.
  • Signage work. Went out in the field to confirm presence of or need for various roadway signage. Filled out 22 work orders for installation of new signage (speed limits, roadway hazard, traffic control).
  • Speed studies. Performed 9 speed studies on segments of various roadways in the district. Examined residential and business locations near the roadways, along with average daily traffic, crash data, and existing speed limits, to determine appropriate speed limits on the various segments.
  • Supported project managers in developing and maintaining project schedules.

  • Conducted field inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, including in-person inspection of nearly 500 of the county’s bridges for structural defects.
  • Using survey equipment and no paper measurements, staked out a future county bridge construction site. Surveyed existing earthwork locations for use in determining needed end parameters for potential replacement.
  • Inspected 10 private construction sites to confirm adherence to proper work and safety standards.
  • Updated 40 tax maps using data from old paper maps and transferred that data to new digital maps using AutoCAD.
  • Put data update spreadsheet data on 15 proposals for future road and bridge construction.
