Summary

Hard working and dedicated student. Innate leader with the ability to make connections, think quickly, adapt and overcome conflicts. Second oldest of six children, and coming from a family with a history of fostering and adopting children. These experiences are what most fuel my desire to be a leader, someone people look up to, and to help those that I can as much as possible.

  • As a campus life ambassador at my school, or CLA, I am given opportunities to regularly interact with younger students, incoming students, and families interested in our school.
  • I work alongside our school counselors regularly to discuss feedback I have received from these groups to discuss ways in which we can best improve experiences for students.

  • Through my school, I have been given an opportunity to go, once a month, to a K-12 school in Memphis. Each day that we go, I get an opportunity to sit with a 4th grade student and mentor them into becoming a leader.
  • We are given a lesson plan but more often than not will veer from it to discuss personally situations that he is experienced. Every month the student I have comes to me excited to listen, learn, and even teach me some things.

  • The church I formerly attended offered me a position to assist in child care on Sunday morning's. I underwent training that taught and prepared me to assist in care with child, specifically children that need a little extra help.
  • My main goal in my work was to help children regulate, stay calm, and encourage them to continue learning. To help create and maintain a safe environment for all the children.
