I have close to 7 years of experience as a dispatcher and the number one rule I have learned and has proven true time after time is that no one can ever truly know everything about being a dispatcher. Every day, I learn something new and I see it as getting a new tool in my dispatch tool belt.
Being a dispatcher isn't for anyone. Some people prefer a set schedule. a set work environment. Others like working a 9-5 job. I found it was tedious. I prefer a job that is always testing my ability. A job that I know I have helped at least one person. A job that I truly love to do and I know I am good at.
