William Banks

Centreville

Summary

I wholeheartedly feel as if this job is for me due to having a lot of experience in communication and problem-solving from my current and previous jobs as I worked with a team, and was expected to solve issues with customers and co-workers when the situation called for it. I've also been volunteering at my church which I have attended for well over a year. It has included a lot of communication and teaching, de-escalation of issues, mental and physical strength, relationship building and networking, community outreach, and roles of responsibility that have developed my character and maturity. I am highly experienced in safety as it is the military's biggest priority. I have sat through numerous briefings and taken several online courses which have developed my knowledge of dangerous situations. My father is my biggest role model and influence on my life as he has been a police officer for Tuscaloosa for 23 years and I would love the opportunity to follow in his footsteps. In conclusion, I am ready for any challenges that will be thrown my way and I believe I have all the skills to bring pride to the UAPD and its respective officers.
