Summary

I've been in the casino business for 28 years basically starting in the industry back in 1994 when gaming was introduced to area.

I was able to go to school during the day while also making a good living in the evenings at the casino.

I'm wanting to leave the industry due to never being able to have holidays or weekends off. I've only had 20 Saturdays off in 25 yrs.

I've always wanted to work offshore but due to obligations at home it wasn't possible until the last couple of years.

This industry will allow time to spend with family and travel a bit when home.

  • Basically for 15 yrs at the Slipper I served drinks, cocktails on the casino floor
  • I have a wonderful rapport with many guests as you would imagine after serving, talking and laughing with them several days/wk for almost 15 yrs
  • I usually tell any new employee that the guests are your friends and your job is much easier when you view them and get to know them in this manner and also try not to allow the pressure of the evening rule your thoughts and mood

I recently acquired the MMC license to go offshore.
