Summary

Once I graduated highschool I volinteeed for duty in U.S.Army went to basic training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina completed returned home for leave till advanced school start date of Aug. 68 at Ft. Gordon, Georgia for 17 weeks but cut short due to Vietnam.

Formation called 4 people out of company did not transport to Vietnam that day I was given leave till January 1969 had to report to Overseas Replacemeny Oakland, Califorina and stationed on Okinawa till May 1971 return to United States.

  • Started on 1st Shift when 2nd Shift was going to retire he asked to have me take his place to work from 3 PM to 1130 PM Monday thru Friday After 1 year Management approved i maintained hospital equipment to include: Fire Alarm System, pnuematic tube system, electrical throughout hospital, repaired beds, elevator troublshooting prior to call for service, plumbing by snaking drains, interface with emergency responders for critical equipment. Air conditioning (chillers), medical gases outlets repaired.
  • After 18 years my eyesight was getting worse from cateracts had both eyes done and retired

  • Installed Simplex Fire Systems supervising electrician on proper wiring and test system with Fire Marshall, electrician according to code, removed old fire system and replaced new upgrade, test buildings Simplex had contracts to test.
  • First large condo i was involved with in 1981 and 15 years later returned to same condo to replace with new upgrade was named to documents to do the job with fellow Simplex employees. Then Feb 2001 i was classified no longer needed

  • Orginally repaired all audio visual, it included movie projectors, overhead projectors, set up publc address system for School Board Meetings.
  • School Maintance Director opened a position for Fire Alarm tester/repair for 89 schools with a helper to assist testing.

  • While in Army I was awarded Army Comedation for mainting Avionics and Navagational Equiment on aircraft included a U-21 fixed wing Beechcraft, UH-1's (2) and aircraft from Taiwan.
