- Researched the effects of site-directed mutagenesis upon RNA Cap Independent Translation Enhancers within the Blackcurrant Reversion Virus genome through a CURE research program with Filbin Research Lab at MSU Denver.
- Designed multiple RNA mutants via Mutational PCR, transformed them into DH5α E. coli cells, extracted, linearized and purified them using a self designed protocol. The resultant RNA’s transcription efficiency were then quantified using a luciferase reporter assay and compared to wild type RNA..
