Reliable Maintenance Foreman offering over 10 years of dedicated service to the City of Plantation. Most of the parks I was supervising, I also utilized by playing various sports along side my siblings. When old enough we began to work as soccer referees. At the age of 16 I started a job running the parks concession stand through the local athletic league. Eventually I found my way to a career with the city as a summer help maintenance aide, working my way to a full time position as a Maintenance Worker. While working with many different crews at various locations, it taught me the necessary tools I needed to strive, to make my way to a Foreman. Historically, as a Maintenance Worker the next step up the ladder is becoming a crew leader. In the City, less than a hand full people have skipped the crew leader position and gone straight to foreman, I was one of them.
I have many years of experience supervising staff who come from various walks of life in the maintenance of many municipal buildings and properties within the City. From marking out and lining fields ranging from football, lacrosse, soccer, baseball and softball, to the installation of new equipment, to evaluating, promoting, reassigning and disciplining subordinates. We also have hundreds of events that vary in nature we have to plan, set up, oversee, and take down. We offer tents, tables and chairs, picnic tables, temporary fencing, vendors and much more. While working closely with the athletics department we provide the programs' users with the best venue while also allocating time for the many maintenance procedures.
