The first part of my day was doing a routine check log on the temperatures in coolers 1 through 8 to make sure the temperatures were no higher then 36 degrees for the product along with checking the sprayers in the coolers.
The next step was walking to engine room 1,2,3 to check to see if your compressors are in running order.
Meaning adding oil, draining oil, checking the house suction, and the pressure gauges going to the compressors.
Then i would walk to the blast freezers to make sure the evaporators are in working order meaning negative 20 degrees is operational box cooler no higher then 38.
I also have evaporators in fab that i check daily and clean with nu bright on the coils with medium pressure when i lock out tag out the unit I would get the scissor lift along with my harness on the weekends. I do not clean when production is running. I would check the drain lines and drip pans to make sure the water is not backing up when the hot gas to the evaporators goes into defrost.
For the condensers I would check to make sure the condensers would have water, fans running, belts not worn out,the sprayers cerculating to make sure your engine room does not high level.
I have changed the belts, fan shrouds, fan blades, the floats,as well as clean the condenser coils and condensers it self.
I have changed suction valves, hot gas valves, liquid valves, compressor filters compressor motors wired the compressors.
I was working under someone that had their degree in nh3 ammonia refrigeration.
