    Family and friends established this scholarship in 2005 in memory of Lee Murray ’94. Stacy and Stan Mullikin ’94 provided the initial funding and leadership to endow the fund, which honors Stan’s classmate and is a tribute to Murray’s enthusiastic involvement in student life at MUS.
  • 2021 Mark Cooper Powell Award
    Given in honor of Mark Cooper Powell '80 by his parents, Marilyn and Edward Powell, income from this fund provides an award to the graduating senior who, through persistence and courage during his career at Memphis University School, has shown the greatest development of character and scholarship.

  • 2015 Charlotte G. Neal Spirit Award- Named in honor of the longtime faculty member and Development Director, is given by recommendation of the Upperschool faculty and coaches to the graduating sixth grader whose attitude and demeanor best exemplify those qualities that characterized Mrs.Neal's distinguished career at PDS. The recipient of this award possesses the quaity of passion for the school and everything for which it stands; he demonstartes exuberance in his endeavors and displays the exuberance with great humility and self-deference.
