I wanted to write this to explain gaps in my resume. Hopefully this will help you understand why I'm much more suitable than it would appear.
First, the gaps in my resume are a result of me taking a year off multiple times to travel around the world, lived, and worked with local families. Generally this work was physical in nature (working on dairy farms, vegetables farms, building bamboo huts or other structures, and moving large objects such as cut down trees). I spent about 4 years total doing this work. The other gap was briefly during covid.
I also have quite a few years of experience during my high school and college summers helping my grandfather paint, landscape, roof, build decks, etc... I thoroughly enjoy physical work as you can see and this is why this job is perfect for me right now, while I'm finishing some course work and transitioning into a different path in my current field.
Due to the wide variety of accomplishments and skills that I have, I am confident that I will be an asset to your organization.
