Well, like my Father, I thought I would teach at a Community College or even a University. But, then, an opportunity at the Carter White House arose, and I took it. Wonderful time, until Reagan was elected, and he fired all of us. My friend, Lee Patkus, invited me to join him at Allstate Insurance Company. After 3 years, I realized, I hated the work. In 1983, another friend, Bruce DeLeon, called and said RCA is starting a telecommunications company. I said, I know nothing about telecommunications. Bruce said, don't worry about it, it's a new industry. And, that became my 30-year career for which I am most grateful. I retired in 2013.
The Red Cross and EMT position afforded me wonderful times to be an instructor and helper.
