Work History

Worship Pastor

Journey By Grace Free Methodist Church
03.2018 - Current

As the contemporary service worship leader at Journey by Grace, I oversee all weekly band rehearsals and repertoire selection for all weekly contemporary worship services. I serve on our team as a singer, drummer, acoustic guitar player, bassist and keyboard player as the weekly needs require. I maintain and schedule a roster of greater than fifteen musicians and vocalists for weekly worship and have worked to develop a vibrant volunteer worship team by providing ongoing mentorship, training, and support for team members. I have grown to understand the importance or holding the worship team accountable for facilitating God-inspired worship and continually strived to foster spiritual growth among team members through regular Bible study, prayer and group discussions.

I prayerfully select music in order to achieve a balance of musical styles in the weekly services that are honoring to the Father and glorifying to His name. I also have strived to evaluate the effectiveness of worship experiences through feedback sessions with congregants, staff members, and volunteers to identify areas for ongoing improvement.

Additional Information

The Lord's abounding grace has set me free from the snares of the enemy, washed me clean and written my name of the scrolls of Heaven and it is my joy and privilege in this world to spread the gospel without hesitation (Matthew 28:18-20). I feel that the Father has strongly called me to worship His name corporately and sing His praises with the people of the church to join in the songs and worship being sung in the throne room. I commit to serve the Lord with all that I am and to fervently pray, study His word and worship His name until He calls me home.
