As part of my education I completed an externship at three different veterinary hospitals. During my time there I gained experience and more understanding about the work of a Vet Tech.

• Performed blood draws, nail trims, anal glands expression, ear cleanings,and wound cleanings
• Properly restrain and hold animals for procedures
• Took diagnostic radiographs of body sections and teeth
• Correctly induced, and maintained surgical anesthesia
• Gained experience working with impromed and cornerstone
• Observed and completed a dental prophylaxis
• Correctly filled in patient records and drug records
• Properly wrap surgery packs and use an autoclave machine
