To the Hiring Manager of the National Institute of Aviation Research:
It is my recommendation that you consider Wyatt Ford as a candidate for employment.
I had the honor and pleasure of teaching Wyatt various times over the last three years: sophomore year (U.S. History) and, senior year (American Government). I can attest to his academic performance, leadership, and character.
Wyatt is the type of student that teachers appreciate. During his time in my classes, Wyatt paid attention to the information provided and was willing to ask the questions to receive the clarification he needed as he learned the course content. He has good written and verbal communication skills. Wyatt was organized and followed through on his commitments.
Wyatt demonstrates leadership by being a team player. He knows that to be a quality leader, he must first be an exceptional follower. He worked his way up through the various technical aspects of lighting for the theater program during the past three years: first, by learning the basics from the upperclassmen; then, by continuing to explore new ways to improve production quality; and, finally, by taking underclassmen under his wing by providing them with training as well as empowering them to make decisions with minimal input. At every step, he continued to learn and demonstrate the value of collaboration.
Wyatt is respectful of others, trustworthy, inquisitive, focused on the tasks at hand, punctual, and makes the best use of time available to complete tasks. He is accountable to himself and others. He is a quality human being!
Wyatt already possesses knowledge of NIAR having served as an intern during the summer of 2024, and again this semester (spring 2025). He has had the opportunity to shadow members within the executive office as well as those who work in the labs.
Wyatt’s dedication to his class work and desire to further his career ensures that he deserves a position at NIAR. He has expressed the desire to further improve his skills by participating in the welding program at WSU Tech. He also plans to eventually obtain master’s degrees in aerospace engineering and business. He could be a very valuable asset to your organization for years to come.
I recommend Wyatt to you without reservation. If you have any further questions with regard to his background or qualifications, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Carson Matile
