I was selected as the sole student to represent El Dorado High School at Boys State California 2020. My selection was based on a combination of academic success, leadership qualities, and participation in extracurricular activities during my time in high school. As my school's representative, I collaborated with other students from their respective schools for seven days at Sacramento State College to create a self-sufficient government.

This program is sponsored by the American Legion with the purpose of educating high school youth about American government and politics to inspire change in each student's school. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, much of what I learned at Boys State, as well as the plans for change I had hoped to implement at my high school, never came to fruition.
