With a deep personal understanding of cancer's impact, stemming from overcoming Ewing Sarcoma three times throughout my journey. I am fueled by a strong passion for cancer biology. My academic journey at Albion College and experience at the University of Michigan have solidified my biochemistry foundation and sparked a commitment to utilizing scientific inquiry for societal good. I am enthusiastic about the Cancer Chemical Biology program at the University of Michigan, attracted by its renowned reputation in cancer research and interdisciplinary approach. Mentorship and professional development opportunities will further refine my skills and deepen my understanding of translational aspects in cancer biology. Ultimately, I aim to spearhead transformative initiatives in cancer research, using my expertise to advance targeted therapeutics and precision medicine.
