• Through interactive play and aged appropriate activities I promoted learning social skills and supported the development of infants - teenagers.
• Provided care to children with speech delays, special needs, and with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Helped children reach their developmental milestones.
• Provided transportation to / from school and extracurricular activities.
• Responsible for meal prepping and household chores.

• Performs triage assessment to determine the level of severity and treats them accordingly.
• Stabilizes patient and safely transports them to the hospital.
• Cared for patient with a variety of different injuries and medical problems including trauma.
• Provides patient care through taking vital signs, splinting, bleeding control, oxygen therapy etc.
• Worked with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Remains calm and collected in a fast paced and pressured environment.

- Throughout the Fall semester, I devoted 105 hours on the Medical - Surgical unit at one of the most underserved hospitals in NYC. The patient population mostly consisted of recovering drug / alcohol addicts, homeless, and victims of abuse and gun violence.

- Under supervision of my preceptor, I assisted with vital signs assessment, blood glucose testing, medication administration, turning / repositioning, and wound care.

• Worked alongside an R.N and observed the roles of a nurse on the Orthopedic Unit while caring for patients who were preparing / recovering from surgery.
• Expanded on my nursing skills by assisting with medication administration, IV management, turning / repositioning etc.
• Became familiar with the EPIC documentation system.
• Provided comfort care and moral support to both pre and post op patients.
