UCLA Dream Summer Fellowship 2023

I had the honor of attending the Dream Summer 8-week national fellowship program during my tenure as a fellow. This program is a national fellowship opportunity that caters to youth immigrants and allies with each fellow being paired with a social justice organization across the country. As a fellow, I was assigned to FirstGen Empower, where I contributed to the support of first-generation, low-income, and undocumented students to help them achieve their educational goals.

The Summer Institute for Pre-Legal Studies 2022
Seton Hall Law School- Newark, NJ
During my participation in the Pre-Legal Program, I had the privilege of gaining knowledge in a variety of legal disciplines, including Contracts, Constitutional, Evidence, Criminal, Health, and Housing Law. This five-week program provided extensive LSAT preparation and was taught by a distinguished faculty of law school professors, practicing attorneys, and judges. As a result of my participation, I have significantly enhanced my understanding of the legal system and feel confident in my ability to excel in future legal endeavors.

During my visit to a high school in Plainfield, I spoke about my transition from high school to college.

As an RV student, I volunteered to assist the Admission Office during open houses. My duties included giving tours of the college to prospective students and participating in student panels to share my experience. Additionally, I assisted the disability department as needed and provided Spanish translation.
U.S. Federal Court House
Assisted in translating Spanish phone calls to English to ensure accurate reports for investigations.
