Company Overview: Worked for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ (Healthcare service provider) via New Membership System(NMS) and National Accounting Service Company(NASCO). These applications maintain new membership enrollments and data related to the subscriber’s coverage and eligibility. NMS also maintains billing related data for subscribers including but not limited to rates for coverage and payment data.

Responsibilities:

• Developed and maintained batch and online applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS to support critical financial and healthcare operations.
• Built and optimized CICS transaction programs to improve real-time system performance and ensure seamless user interactions.
• Designed and executed JCL procedures for automated job scheduling, data validation, and end-of-day processing tasks.
• Gathered business requirements, preparing technical documents and developing code through Cobol.
• Analyzed and resolved incident tickets, defects, P-logs and RITM tickets.
