CTC 399 IT Practicum - The technology internship program allows students to gain “hands on “experience in a technology environment by spending one semester as an intern in the Information Technology Department.

• Windows Server Installation and Configuration:Installed and configured Windows Server 2022 on VMware Workstation 17.
  Set up server roles and features, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  Created and managed virtual disks, allocated system resources, and configured network adapters.
• Comprehensive Windows Server Environment Setup:Successfully set up a Windows Server 2022 environment on VMware Workstation, including server role configuration and network setup.
  Connected Windows 10 client machines to the Active Directory domain for centralized management.
  Implemented a pfSense firewall to enhance network security and manage virtual network traffic.
  Configured a file server on Windows Server 2019, enabling efficient and secure file sharing within the domain.
  
  
• Active Directory Management:Implemented Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) on Windows Server 2022.
  Promoted servers to domain controllers and established a new domain.
  Successfully connected client machines to the Active Directory domain, enabling domain-based authentication and centralized management.
  
• Virtual Network Security:Installed and configured pfSense as a firewall and router within a virtualized environment.
  Managed network traffic and enhanced security through pfSense's robust features.
  Configured WAN and LAN interfaces, ensuring secure and efficient network communication.
  
• File Server Administration:Set up and managed a file server on Windows Server 2019 using VMware Workstation.
  Configured shared folders and managed permissions to control access and enhance data security.
  Enabled seamless file sharing and storage solutions for domain-joined clients.
