Accomplishments

    Agrolibano Scholarship 2010 for Executive MBA at INCAE

    Organization of American States -OAS Scholarship 2009. Post graduate scholarship.

    Walton Scholarship (1999-2003) – Full 4-year college education scholarship. I was selected among a 1,000 brilliant Honduran candidates who participated to obtain the scholarship for undergraduate degree at the USA, sponsored by Wal-Mart through the Walton Foundation.

    Wall Street Journal Finance Award – 2003. Award given to the student with the most outstanding performance in Business Finance during 2003.

    Alpha Chi – 2002. Honor given to those students, selected by the faculty Members of the University of the Ozarks, based on their outstanding academic records, character, leadership, contributions to the university, and professional promise.

Work Achievements

  • Pan-American Life Insurance Company: For 2 consecutive years (2018 and in 2019) Pan-American Life Honduras Branch won the Chairman`s Award, a recognition based on performance, the area that I manage obtained outstanding results contributing significantly to the PTOI of the Company. When I entered the company, the distribution of payment transactions was 70% checks and only 30% ACH. Now, the indicator is 99.7 ACH transfers, and this achievement represents important savings for the company and faster reimbursements to insureds. In 2023, I was selected by Top Management to lead an Ease of Doing Business Project with my colleagues all the COO´s from LATAM Operation.
  • Ficohsa Seguros: As Operations, Systems, and Process Manager I implemented several projects of great magnitude for the company, such as BPM, Metrics, and Preauthorization in Pharmacies. As a Sales Sub-Manager of Directed Channels, I was assigned in January 2011 a portfolio of approximately 2,824 individual and small business insurance policies, and in 2013 we closed with more than 8,500 policies, which represent a growth of more than 300%. Additionally, in December 2012, my subordinates of Directed Sales Channel awarded me recognition for Excellence.
  • Grupo Agrolibano: I entered the company as Administrative & Commercial Coordinator and, in a very short period, I became the Commercial Manager at Grupo Agrolibano. The European Market was the most profitable Market for the Company, when I joined Agrolibano in 2003, it only exported 181 containers to Europe a year, and after 7 years of constantly increasing the number of containers exported, in 2010 we accomplished to export 1,500 containers per year to Europe. This represents an increment of 828% in only 7 years. Additionally, it is important to mention that in Agrolibano Group I conducted effective negotiations with clients, intermediaries, and suppliers from Europe, Asia, and the United States, markets where Agrolibano exports its product.

  • INTERNATIONAL MAKEUP, 2014 - now, Family business dedicated to sales and distribution of makeup and skincare products.
  • Happy Face Project, FOUNDER 2005- 2010, Project oriented to the education and social development of the Children of the poor community of La Fortunita, located at Choluteca, Honduras.
  • Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), 1999, 2003, Coordinated projects oriented to teach the business principles of free enterprise to High School students from Clarksville, Arkansas.
  • Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), 2003, 2003, 1st place in Regional Competition (April 2003) and National Competition (July 2003) – Presentation of a Business Plan, which was nominated number six out of the top ten business plans presented in the PBL competition at the USA national level.
