Yi Hong

Yi Hong is a junior student majoring in public relations and minoring in data science at Boston University from Xiamen, China. During her internship at Xiamen GeYu Import & Export Co. within the Operations Department, Hong gained experience in the management and maintenance of the company's Amazon store and designing promotional programs. Next was her internship in the after-sales information department of Linde Forklift Co., Ltd., where she was responsible for organizing technical information and recording marketing data. Hong also completed a one-month project at BU CGS Capstone, collecting information on world health and environmental issues, developing future programs, and making new products applicable to the world. Her internship at Xiamen New Dedication Educational Institution as an English teacher contributed to her ability to collaborate with team members, actively listen to others, and articulate ideas clearly. She was responsible for one-on-one and classroom teaching for elementary, middle, and high school students, developing teaching plans for each student, and communicating with all parents. Outside of school, she enjoys watching movies and long-distance running; she has participated in the Boston Marathon for 2 years since she came to the U.S.
