I was also responsible for following up with the veterans and documenting any necessary information.
Molina Healthcare created a project to audit medical records.
As a HEDIS Auditor, I pursued facilities, individual providers, clinics, labs & hospitals to request medical records.
The process was to call and verify provider demographics.
Once demographics were verified, a letter would be generated with a fax that included member name, location and HEDIS measure.
The providers had 7 days to respond.
If they didn't, another letter was sent with an extension offer and new deadline data.
Logs for activities were kept in an excel sheet.
Once medical records were received, information was sent to auditors for review.
