Served as a medic in the US Army, entering active duty in 1995. Attended Primary Leadership Development, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer course. As a medical I was responsible for health and welfare of a medical platoon and any patients under our care, functioned as the Emergency Management Decontamination Team Leader and possessed the ability to deploy our section with 24hour notice. Because of this training I am able to function effectively and calmly in high stress situations making sound and timely decisions ultimately resulting in no lives or equipment loss. Entered the Hawaii Army National Guard, where I served as the senior medical advisor, responsible for tracking medical personal training, certifications, readiness, equipment and assets; reporting quarterly to the Brigade Command Team.
