Responsible for providing patient care, taking x-rays, dental procedure assisting, scheduling appointments, and record keeping.
Responsible for infection control in all of clinics. Make sure everyone is not only following protocol but keeping them as well as patients. I'm in charge for checking sterilization books as well as code cart.
Received 95% positive customer comments. Frequently received several "shout outs" for being valuable employee. Not only from the resident's but from faculty Doctors.
Measured and recorded vital statistics by taking patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse.
Provided diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies.
Supported dentists during procedures to restore teeth, like dental fillings, permanent and temporary crowns.
Prepares, sterilizes, organizes and sets up dental equipment, ensures that all dental instruments are cleaned, dated, and processed according to established clinic guidelines and standards.
Provides orientation, training, and backup support to clinic and on-call dental assistants to ensure consistency regarding clinic operations, clinical competencies, and provider support.
Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and setting up instrument trays.
Preparing materials and assisting with dental procedures
Assisting dentists in medical emergencies when necessary
Fabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions

Provides chairside assistance to dentists and or dental hygienists in the performance or dental procedures, to include operative, preventive, periodontal, endodontic, prosthetic, surgical, implants
Maintains compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards ,infection control techniques and regulations by reviewing dental material safety data sheets, statistics, labeling hazardous material, disposing of sharp and infectious waste and maintaining autoclave sterilization log.
Develops and processes dental radiographs in accordance with provider orders; assists in monitoring and maintenance of radiation safety procedures and protocols with both digital and traditional methods.
Maintains dental laboratory slips and checks in lab cases.
Maintains and assists with computerized data and charting, probing, and digital x-rays.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
