Activities

  • I interned at Dismas Charities in El Paso, under the supervision of Mr. Hector Zamora, LMSW, aiding adult offenders reintegrating into society from federal or state prison systems. I supported counselors in preparing for various weekly offender groups and contributed to biopsychosocial assessments for new program entrants.
  • Additionally, I volunteered at the Catholic Parish of Santo Niño de Atocha, serving as the Youth Group Director for individuals aged 12-18. My role included ongoing guidance and mentorship. I actively engaged in providing the youth with spiritual education on a range of religious topics, including bible study.
  • I volunteered with troubled adolescents in a program held at the El Paso, Texas Juvenile Detention Center, which was organized by Mr. David Natividad and overseen by the Court Conference Committees. I provided basic guidance to adolescents who were attending court under probationary conditions.
