At first I was the shop guy getting parts for the technicians and organizing the shop making sure the
bathrooms were cleaned and the floors were mopped and eventually worked my way up to helping
people on the job site and working along a licensed plumber.
I started out working alongside a journeyman, learning the basics of running gas lines. Over time, I worked my way up to installing PVC and copper piping, gaining hands-on experience with different plumbing systems. Most of my work was focused on track homes, where I started to learn the full process of completing a plumbing system for a house from start to finish.
I handled a variety of service calls, ranging from locating and repairing sewer line breaks to fixing faucets and other plumbing issues. I was responsible for maintaining my own work truck daily, ensuring it was fully stocked with the necessary tools and materials for each day’s jobs. This required planning ahead, troubleshooting problems on-site, and providing quality service to customers.
Started as a Door-to-Door Sales Representative, developing strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills while engaging with potential customers. Learned how to handle objections, close sales, and meet performance targets in a fast-paced environment.
Through dedication and performance, worked my way up to Management, where I took on additional responsibilities, including:
• Conducting interviews and hiring new employees
• Training and mentoring new sales representatives
• Building and leading a team to meet and exceed sales goals
• Implementing strategies to improve team performance and efficiency
• Managing day-to-day operations and ensuring company policies were followed
This experience provided me with valuable leadership, recruitment, and team-building skills, along with a deep understanding of sales processes and management techniques.
