Zachary Rojo

Thank you for considering my application. I am an incoming college freshman who is interested in public service. As a Colorado resident, I appreciate the work that Governor Polis does for our state. While this resume will demonstrate that I don't always have so much free time, I enjoy spending that which I have biking, reading and singing.

• Selected for, attended Rotary Youth Leadership Awards conference in Estes Park, July 2022
• One of two Student Liaison board members of the Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented (CAGT); member of Legislative Committee thereof
• As CAGT Legislative Committee member; assisted in organizing and running CAGT Legislative Day 2023 (bringing high school students to State Capitol to shadow w/legislators, ); helped to lobby 2023 School Finance Act with important funding changes; oversaw along with other committee members our lobbyists' work
• Attended Colorado Boys State, June 2023; elected State Representative; Federalist Party Parliamentarian; Deputy Attorney General; campaign manager for Boys State AG
• Attended Rotary World Affairs Seminar in Wisconsin concerning climate change; discussed climate issues in detail from multiple perspectives; participated in State Dept-led diplomacy simulation
• Student leader of the St. Vrain Valley School District Young Rotary club since 2022; organized Ukraine fundraiser raising over $2,000 in several weeks; managed volunteer schedules; planned fundraising, recruitment, community events; coordinated with local businesses in connection with fundraisers
• Member of Congressman Joe Neguse's Youth Advisory Council; learned about U.S. House office operations; provided perspective on youth-related matters before the Congress;
