At my current job I consider myself a service-oriented delivery professional with demonstrated record of road safety and clean driving history. Familiar with logging daily activities, coordinating customer paperwork and collecting payment. Plans and manages efficient routes to maximize deliveries and customer satisfaction.
My previous experience as listed both as a museum volunteer and as a zookeeper, I was a Highly-motivated employee with desire to take on new challenges. Strong work ethic, adaptability, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Adept at working effectively unsupervised and quickly mastering new skills. I was the youngest zookeeper hired by the Folsom Children's Zoo at 18 years of age.
I interacted as a volunteer at the zoo with youth operating the pony rides and answering questions about nearby exhibits.
At the museum I volunteered in the Encounter Center that housed not only fossils but other displays. For example there was an olfactory exhibit where kids would use their sense of smell to identify different scents held within small containers. This was very beneficial to children who were facing challenges whether they were visual, physical or emotional. It enabled children who may of otherwise not interacted with the other features of the Encounter center to find inclusion. We also had a variety of friendly mammals and reptiles that the kids were able to touch/hold or otherwise interact with physically. This provided the opportunity to tie tangible real world experiences that they were having to things from prehistoric times.
And I found both the volunteer and paid position very rewarding.
As a zookeeper I provided care for many different animals and reptiles while also interacting with the public. This provided the opportunity to model environmentally conscious behavior that centered around conservation of both flora and fauna. It also provided the opportunity to inspire future generations of conservationists, biologists and animal lovers.
