Zachary Austin

• Attended weekly team meetings and provided feedback on projects.
• Developed a comprehensive report summarizing the findings of the research.
• During my final semester of college, this internship consisted of me working on a project that the Foundation had wanted to make a priority for a long time.
• I spent the majority of my internship hours compiling an Excel spreadsheet of every student-athlete at Dickinson State from 1923-present. I really enjoyed my time working here. The internship ended when I graduated from college.

• Conducted pre-interview research and prepared questions for guests.
• Developed a podcast format to ensure consistency in content production.
• Organized recording sessions with guests, including scheduling and booking venues.
• When I was going to school at Dickinson, I started a sports podcast, where I got behind a mic, and talked about sports.
• I also had guests on my podcast from time to time. I recorded 17 episodes of varying lengths, to be exact, which included 14 guests.
• Skills I put to use included computer and application skills, and working with equipment (e.g. microphone, headset, audio, hooking them up to my computer, etc).

• Created and edited content for website, newsletters, press releases, social media posts, and other marketing materials.
• During the second semester of my junior year of college, I got the opportunity to work an unpaid internship for USTFCCCA (based out of New Orleans), where I wrote weekly recaps of the men's and women's NAIA track and field team rankings.
• I wrote 21 bylines on this great website. The internship ended when the collegiate track and field season ended.

• In my senior year of high school, I wrote sports articles for the Miles City Star on a freelance basis.
• I wrote 10 bylines for the Star, to be exact.
• The story I wrote that I have a claim to fame to, is that I got to interview, and write a story about Brody Grebe after his Melstone Broncs won the 4C basketball tournament.
• Conducted on-site interviews with sources to gather information for reporting.

When I was in high school, I helped the main play-by-play announcer call Miles City Cowboys/Cowgirls, District 4C, and Southern C basketball games on the radio.

I did approximately 15-20 games that season at the high school level. This was a paid internship that I did.
