  • Oversaw three squadrons and numerous divisions and shops within the Navy/ Marine Corps. Fleet. This responsibility covers military and civilian personnel operating within the command and encompassing all maintenance levels; Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot.
  • Provided information to the fleet in various forms, from basic maintenance principles to item specific blueprints, in order to facilitate the safe and proper repair or procedure is followed. The majority of this information was in the form of airframe structural faults and component/sub-component replacement and repair.
  • Ensured instruction and training was given, both formal and informal, on multiple systems. This training enabled the squadrons and individual shops to keep a high level of expertise and readiness while losing senior personnel and qualified members. Training covered the following aircraft system components and theory of operation; hydraulics, flight controls, rotors, transmissions, engines, structures, paint and final finish, composite repair, HUMS, and related test/support equipment.
  • Assisted the Quality Assurance shops in identifying, diagnosing, generating, and resolving all types of aircraft and maintenance discrepancy reports. Engineering reports were monitored and updated on a monthly basis to maximize feedback.
  • Monitored vibration signatures, both active and historical, to establish trends for current and future issues. Oversaw the uploading process from stand-alone ground stations to an active server.
  • Provided guidance to backshops for composite/fiberglass repairs including, rotor blades, high temp engine cowlings, and woven fuel cells.
  • Correlated the maintenance process and relationship between engineering and fleet maintainers in respect to troubleshooting, product discrepancies, and aircraft changes.
  • Communicated with the fleet units and work centers on a daily basis to ensure an optimum level of technical advice is available. This encapsulated FCF/Vibration Analysis briefs, preflight and post-flight, as well as on aircraft testing.
