Projects

Number Block Project | March 24 - April 24

  • Tasked to effectively perform fine measurements on an object given (a number block).
  • Designed the object within Solidworks, and proceed to 3D print the design to access tolerance.
  • Then mapped out a CNC route on fusion 360 to machine the final part design out of aluminum stock.

Coding projects (C++) | August 23 - December 23

  • Created multiple programs to test ability in C++.
  • Cartesian to polar coordinates conversion program, a hangman game, and a connect four game.
  • Learned problem solving, creativity and good coding etiquette and skills for computational problem solving.

Windmill Energy Creation Project | November 23 - December 23

  • Tasked with creating a windmill that generates electricity.
  • Designed different windmill blades within Solidworks, 3D printed each design.
  • programmed arduino to receive and display energy production, and tested which blades were most efficient.

Thermometer Project | November 23 - December 23

  • Using a breadboard, electrical components such as a small temperature sensor, resistors. Soldered an external temperature sensor which was ran through the breadboard.
  • Programmed through LabView to read signal from the breadboard and present a temperature.
  • Compared presented data to actual thermometer values of the same liquid across different temperatures to properly acquire accurate readings.
